You should join a church because...

Scripture indicates it.
  In the book of Acts
  letters were delivered to
  and people were added to
  churches  (18:27; 2:47)

Discipline requires it.
  In 1 Corinthians 5:1-13
  the church is given the
  responsibility to
  discipline believers.

Example enjoins it.
Believers desired
  to meet together
         (Acts 2:42)
God appointed it as
    the gathering for Christians
         (Heb. 10:25)
    the center of His work
         in this age
         (1 Tim. 3:15)
BOoneDY
The body is a unit,
though it is made up of many parts.
so it is with Christ.   (1 Cor. 12:12)

But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body,
every one of them,
just as he wanted them to be.  (1 Cor. 12:18)

so that there should be no division in the body,
but
that its parts should have
equal concern for each other.   (1 Cor. 12:25)

Now you are the body of Christ,
and each one of you is
a part of it.(1 Cor. 12:27)

Remember we are the Body of Christ:
God has placed us in the Body of Christ
There should be no division
in the Body of Christ
We should be concerned
for one other.
Some books to check out regarding the church:
The church's focus has to be
the bridegroom, Jesus Christ
or it is not really a church.
